From Aerospace to Overdrive: A Tool Maker's Journey

Here's the thing: I've been building tools since I could hold a wrench, but I've been playing guitar even longer. And somewhere between crafting precision parts for the aerospace industry and chasing tone on a Saturday night, I realized these two worlds were meant to collide.

I'm a certified Tool and Die maker who spent years in the aerospace game—we're talking blueprints, tolerances measured in thousandths of an inch, and the kind of precision that keeps planes in the sky. But the whole time, my guitar was calling. Those drive pedals weren't going to stomp themselves, you know?

The Klon Awakening

So here's where it gets interesting. I wanted a Klon Centaur. You know, that magical golden box that supposedly makes everything sound better? Yeah, the one that costs more than a decent used car. When I realized I couldn't justify the price tag (because, you know, reality), I had an epiphany: If you can't buy it, build it.

And that's exactly what I did.

Turns out, all those years of reading schematics and building tools translated pretty nicely into the world of guitar pedals. Who knew? (Okay, I kind of suspected, but still.)

The DIY Obsession

Here's the truth: pedal building isn't just a hobby for me—it's a full-blown obsession. It's like being a mad scientist, except instead of questionable experiments, you're creating sonic landscapes that make your neighbors wonder what's happening in your basement. (Don't worry, it's all legal and totally rock and roll.)

The best part? That moment when you fire up a pedal you built with your own hands and hear those sweet, glorious tones come alive. It's addictive. It's empowering. It's yours.

Why This Store Exists

I started designing tools and selling circuits because I believe this world should be accessible to anyone with the motivation to learn. You don't need a degree in electrical engineering or a garage full of expensive equipment. You just need curiosity, a soldering iron, and maybe a decent cup of coffee (or three).

Whether you're a seasoned builder or someone who's never touched a circuit board, there's a place for you here. This is your musical playground—a place to tinker, experiment, and create something uniquely yours.

The Dream Team

Here's where it gets even better: I don't do this alone. I collaborate with Mr. Mo's Pedals—a brilliant sound engineer who's been designing circuits for over 15 years. While I bring the precision tooling and building expertise, Mo brings the sonic wizardry. Together, we create circuits that not only work flawlessly but sound absolutely incredible.

We're both fathers who turned our passion for tone into something we could share with our kids and the wider DIY community. Because what better way to spend your time than building something amazing and teaching the next generation to do the same?

It's the perfect partnership: engineering meets artistry, precision meets tone, dad jokes meet circuit design. And the result? Tools and circuits that help you build pedals you'll actually want to play through.

Let's Build Something Amazing

Your guitar deserves better than off-the-shelf tone. It deserves pedals with personality, character, and maybe a little bit of your soul baked into the circuitry.

So grab your tools, fire up that soldering iron, and let's turn those tone dreams into reality—one circuit at a time.

Who knows? Maybe you'll build the next legendary pedal. No pressure though. (Okay, maybe a little pressure. But the fun kind.)

Now let's get building. Your sound is waiting.
